Something not working, or a valuation that looks wrong? We read everything.

Common questions

How accurate is the valuation?
It is an indicative range based on what comparable pieces have recently sold for, not an appraisal. Condition, provenance, rarity and the specific market all move prices, and a photograph cannot judge all of them. Treat it as a starting point. For anything of real value, speak to an auction house or a specialist dealer, and use the linked sales as a reference for that conversation.
It identified my item incorrectly.
Rescan with the maker's mark, signature or stamp filling the frame. That single detail identifies a piece more reliably than the whole object. Good, even light and a plain background also help. If it still gets it wrong, email us the photo.
It said my item is ordinary, or found no comparable sales.
That is a real answer, not a failure. Most household objects are not collectable, and telling you so honestly is the point. Where no comparable sales exist, the app shows the identification and says plainly that it could not find market data rather than inventing a number.
Why does it take twenty seconds?
Because it is doing three things: identifying the piece, searching for recent sales of comparable items, and assembling the result. It is slower than a photo filter because it is looking things up rather than guessing.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the app and scan.
Where are my scans stored?
On your phone only. You can delete any of them at any time, and deleting the app removes them all. See the privacy policy for what happens during a scan.
Can I use this for insurance or probate?
No. An indicative range is not a formal valuation and carries no weight for insurance, probate or legal purposes. Those require a qualified valuer.
